FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION MUST BE WON SAYS BUHARI

President Muhammad Buhari on Tuesday stated that he is not deterred by the notion that when you fight corruption, corruption would fight back.
Speaking at the commissioning of the new office complex for the economic and financial crimes commission (efcc), president Buhari recalled that his short stint as Nigeria’s military ruler which ended in august 1985 was cut short by unhappy elements within the military ranks who were comfortable with corruption.
He expressed hope that the judiciary will continue to collaborate with the federal government in its anti-corruption fight. In his goodwill message, speaker of the house of representatives, Yakubu Dogara, asked the federal government to turn its attention to improving the welfare of EFCC staff in order to insulate them from corruption.
