FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SET TO SHUT THIRD MAINLAND BRIDGE IN LAGOS FOR ASSESSMENT TESTS

Third mainland bridge in Lagos will be shut to traffic at midnight on Thursday the 26th of July to enable engineers conduct assessment tests on some sections of the bridge
Federal controller of works, Lagos, Adedamola Kuti while making the disclosure on Tuesday said the bridge will be reopened at midnight Sunday the 29th of July.
Kuti while explaining that the results of the tests will enable inspectors determine how to embark on actual repair work, expatiated on the restriction, stating that movements on the bridge would alter the readings expected from the tests.
The Controller of Works said details of alternative routes would be provided to members of the public today after a stakeholders’ meeting in the afternoon.
