Spain has announced that it will reopen its land borders with France and Portugal on June 22nd, three months after they were closed to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Tourism minister, REYES MAROTO at foreign press briefing today said in the case of France and Portugal, the restrictions on mobility will be lifted.
She added that “in principle”, the compulsory 14-day quarantine requirement “will also be dropped” for cross-border arrivals.
MAROTO also noted that this is very important because it will allow Spain welcome back both French and Portuguese tourists.
Meanwhile, Spain has recorded over 240,000 cases of coronavirus and over 27,000 deaths.
